Content Marketing Manager Job Posting

The51 and M51 have an exciting opportunity for a Content Marketing Manager. As a key part of the growth team, the Content Marketing Manager is responsible for writing and curating compelling blogs, emails, website and social media copy, thought leadership pieces, and some longer-form content to engage our audiences. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, the Content Marketing Manager works cross-functionally, collaborating with stakeholders across our two organizations. Your key responsibilities:

●      Collaboratively develop and execute the content marketing strategy for The51 and M51

●      Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned to key dates and events and organizational strategies

●      Write and/or curate high-performing, optimized content relevant to our various audiences and aligned with our goals and objectives (content may include blogs, emails, event promotional copy, social media and website content, editorial and thought leadership pieces, among other things)

●      Work closely with other members of the marketing and growth team and executives on key projects and initiatives

●      Work with supporting agencies on social media PR campaigns

●      Research and generate new and innovative campaigns and approaches to engage our audiences

●      Take initiative to explore, research, and pitch new ideas

 

You’ll be a great match if:

●      You have at least five years of experience researching, writing, and editing high-performing marketing copy

●      You’re creative, scrappy, and like to dig in when you see help is needed

●      You’ve got incredible attention to detail and can easily pick out places where copy can be improved to be more relevant and compelling

●      You understand the relationship between what you are doing in marketing and the objectives and goals of the organization

●      You know the enormous impact that great content can have on SEO and overall performance. You  can write a pillar strategy with your eyes closed.

 

Skills that we’d prefer:

●      Familiarity with the tools we use, Hubspot, Squarespace, and Airtable

●      Understanding of SEO, paid ads and conversion copywriting

●      Experience working in a fast-paced, high growth environment

●      Experience marketing B2C subscription products

●      Exposure to investing, venture capital and / or startup fundraising

 

Compensation

This role is divided approximately 50/50 between Movement51 and The51. Time spent working on tasks for The51 Ventures Inc. must be closely recorded so that any work provided for The51 can be tracked and budgeted accordingly.
