Investing in a fund as a Limited Partner (LP) is unknown territory for most investors who have traditionally invested directly into companies. Understanding what's important about a 100+ page partnership agreement can be onerous and complex without an understanding of the key pieces to be aware of.
Laura Webb, Partner at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, will introduce what it means to invest into a fund, cover the basic terms that investors are signing on to, and walk through key concepts, economics, and governance considerations.
What is a Limited Partner in a venture fund and what are the rights and responsibilities?
